Iloilo Business Park's 2nd Scrabble Competition unfolds on Oct. 21

Join the biggest Scrabble Competition in the Iloilo City at Iloilo Business Park this October 21, Saturday at IBP Showroom from 1PM -5PM. The competition is open for kids 7-10 years old (Kids Category) and 11-15 years old (Junios Category). For kids category, there will be eight table to be provided. Seven of these tables will have four players each and one table will have two players. For junior category, there will be eleven tables to be provided with four players each. Table assignments will be randomly chosen among players.

There will be three rounds of game per category such as elimination round, semi-finals and finals. For the elimination round, there will be eight participants (kids category) and eleven participants (junior category) to move forward for the semi- finals. For the semi-finals, there will be two tables for the kids category with four players each and three tables for the junior category, with two tables having four players each and one table having three players. For the finals, there will be one table with two players for the kids category and one table with three players for the junior category. Only two players will be announced as winners per category. The player with the highest score will be declared as the first place winner and the player with the second highest score will be declared as second place winner.

Here are the prizes at stake for this year’s IBP Scabble Competition:
Kids Category (7-10 years old)
First Place – P2,000 cash plus P4,000 worth pf gift certificate
Second Place – P1,000 cash plus P2,000 worth of gift certificate
Junior Category (11-15 years old)
First Place – P2,000 cash plus P4,000 worth of gift certificate
Second Place – P1,000 cash plus P2,000 worth of gift certificate

With last year’s successful IBP Scrabble Competition, this year will be even bigger and exciting as we showcase the best scrabble players in the city coming from different schools.
